For the first concept, I think it would be interesting to center a game around the concept of truth. The game would demonstrate the contrast between objective truths and subjective truths and how the two shape a world view. Initially, I see the game starting and developing the player with a character with certain goals and abilities. Then the player would be switched to another character which would directly oppose the first character and so on. Each character providing contrasting subjective stories with the an underlying objective truth such as murder is bad, and for this reason etc. The goal for this value based game would be to explore the fundamental function of an unchanging standard and how a subjective experiences can affect that.

Somewhat similar to the first concept, I also think developing a game around the value of morality and what defines it would be interesting. Drawing from something similar to Fallout’s Charma system. The goal of the game would be not to commit bad acts and commit the good ones to the point where yo achieve something. However, what qualifies as bad or good would change depending on certain choices of the player, ultimately affecting the world of the game and the NPCs. The value here would explore the discussion of morality and what is it’s use or need.

For my third, I think something along the lines of the game Telephone would be a good value based game. The game would be centered on the player spreading information and communicating to other people. This would give the player the agency to cause a change for the greater good or for personal gain. Think of Detroit: Become Human as an example of taking ideologies and deciding how they affect the world of the game. The value here would be communication and the role an individual could have on something greater with it.
